Abstract
Background. The article reveals some aspects of digitalization processes using the example of a regional higher medical educational institution. The need to organize all structural elements of the university in a new digital format is emphasized. The conducted research in the form of an anonymous survey enables establishing feedback with students and clinical residents, who have become active participants in digitalization of higher education. Materials and methods. A sociological survey is used as the main research method. The research makes it possible to identify the frequency of accessing the university’s electronic resources, evaluate the convenience of the interface of the university’s electronic educational resources, the visual compliance of the official website of Volgograd State Medical University with the style of the brand book, the conditions for searching for information on the electronic educational portal of the university, the relevance of information on the official website of the university, popularity among students of the official and unofficial groups dedicated to the educational process and extracurricular activity on social media VKontakte. Results. The analysis of the results shows satisfaction with the quality and speed of answers provided in the university groups on social media VKontakte. Students note the extensive resources of Volgograd State Medical University for practicing skills and the strong teaching staff. New educational platforms that allow organizing distance learning, as well as conducting video conferences for up to 300 participants, which covers the flow of students of one year, are described. Conclusions. The attractiveness of Russian education through the creation of a favorable digital image of a particular university is one of the key factors contributing to engaging both Russian and foreign students.
